Have You Heard of Generation YES?

We are indeed living in interesting times, times that challenge us to find new ways of dealing with what are, in effect, very old problems -- problems of how we use our natural resources, distribution of wealth, ethnic/political/religious conflicts. If you are reading this blog, chances are you are aware of the planetary shifts that are taking place and are wondering what can be done.

You may have heard of the Indigo children. If you haven't, there's lots of information about them here: http://metagifted.org/topics/metagifted/indigo/. Now there is information about an older generation of people, roughly ages 25-32, who also have a unique role in helping humanity through the changes we're facing. They are being called Generation YES. Like the 60s generation, they became disenchanted with the predominant forms of education, religion and many social structures. Many Generation YESers are involved in film, art, music and literature as a means of expressing their views, but they can be found in all walks of life. We need to listen to and encourage this generation because their ideas are part of the paradigm shift that must happen in order for this planet and its people to evolve to the next level. One of the voices we need to hear is that of Dominic Allamano. When I watched the video posted here, I was blown away by this young man's intelligence, passion and commitment. Watch and tell me what you think.

Welcome to Self Healing Techniques!

Hello and glad you're here!

After working with my other blog (Sound And Music for Healing) for a while, I decided to try my hand at a slightly broader topic. The truth is, I'm fascinated with vibrational healing and have been ever since I first began considering the idea that music and sound were a healing art I wanted to practice. My intention with this blog is to discuss different self-healing techniques I know about and/or am learning about and easy ways you can learn more and apply them.

I also feel I need to say here that I am no "expert" and while I definitely believe that all of us have a healer within, it's wise to consult with a medical professional if you're experiencing serious pain or discomfort, whether physical or emotional. Having said that, I believe there are alternative and complementary healing methods out there that have great track records of helping people without having to resort to surgery or drugs and I am dedicated to discussing those here. In any case, this I intend to use this blog as a place to share what I know and to explore what I don't know. Hopefully the process will be informative and helpful to those of you who visit.

That's all for now, but until next time, happy trails on your healing journey!
